The Time Traveler's Wife I was supposed to finish over reading week, but I didn't even have time to sit down and pick up a magazine or newspaper or something light to read let alone a whole novel.  Fine, maybe I didn't make time.  But still.   This thing is like 400 pages so I think it'd have to be one of those books I fully immerse myself in, you know, go missing for a couple of days cos I'm hibernating in my bed type of dedication.

Everything is Illuminated I've been trying to read for a good year now at least. I've almost finished it a couple times, the closest I came was last year during my reading week trip to Mexico.  Then school and work started up again and I had to put it aside for months.  It's a pretty dense book in terms of events so it's not just something I can pick up where I left off, I always have to start from somewhere near the beginning to reacquaint myself.  The one phrase I semi-regularly utilize from the book is "Stop spleening me!", but only around my coworker Elan cos I know she's read the book and gets what it means.  Elan was the one who lent me Time Traveler's Wife... I guess basically what I'm getting at is she's my idol and my life goal is to read all the cool books she has read. Haha.
